Adrianne Wright has been involved with Girls on the Run-Chicago since 2007, bringing her leadership and expertise as a Governing Board member from 2007 to 2016. Although she no longer lives in the Chicago area, she continues to support GOTRC through her own financial contributions and spreading the word to her networks as a member of the Finish Line Council. Finish Line Council member Theresa Melroy has been involved with Girls on the Run-Chicago since the beginning, and has continued to stay involved as a volunteer and financial supporter. We chatted with Theresa about why she loves Girls on the Run-Chicago and her vision for our future. 

We’re kicking off our birthday month by featuring our Finish Line Council Chair Joan Trimuel Williams, who has been instrumental in Girls on the Run-Chicago’s growth since the early 2000s. 

The Girls on the Run-Chicago Finish Line Council is a dedicated community of women leaders who have provided their unwavering support since our inception in 1999, and continue to do so to this day.

This Pride Month, we’re passing the relay baton to Chicago-based organizations led by folks who work to lift up LGBTQIA young people. All month, we’ll feature their amazing work and words, and resources for you and your kids to learn more. Follow along all month!
