The impact Girls on the Run makes is dependent on dedicated volunteers like you, who are committed and passionate about our mission and vision.
Coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, two or more volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you.
Junior Coaches are needed to inspire the next generation! Our Junior Coach program is for high school girls aged 16 to 18. Beyond serving as a role model to program participants, Junior Coaches work alongside Coaches, strengthening their leadership skills and gaining a sense of belonging and purpose.
Additional Volunteer Opportunities

Are you part of a group or organization that wants to make an impact on our community? Girls on the Run would love to have you get involved with our program. Here are a few ways you can make a difference while working together.
Survey Data Input
We are looking for volunteers to help us with a data entry project, with volunteer shifts at our office (1415 N. Dayton St, Suite 112, Chicago, IL, 60642). Choose any of the following shifts:
Your role will include inputting survey data that has been collected via paper into our online system, so in order to participate, you must bring a laptop. The survey data is vital to improving Girls on the Run programming, as it is feedback from Spring 2024 program participants!
If you are able to make all 3 shifts, or even just one, your help will be appreciated! We will have snacks as well!
If you have questions, please feel free to email Zoe Kim at programs@gotrchicago.org or call/text her at 312-392-2586.
