About Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run-Chicago (GOTRC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Much more than a running program, GOTRC is a learning experience! While training for a 5k event, girls learn important life skills lessons designed to encourage positive emotional, social, mental and physical development. In 2013, GOTRC will serve more than 8,000 girls at more than 300 sites in Chicagoland, empowering them with the confidence and character they need to become strong, healthy women.
